This book gave a great summary of the Mediterranean Diet and 40 excellent recipes! We have been on this diet for 2 weeks and I've made at least half of the recipes. They have all been easy and very good, even my 15 year old likes most of them! I highly recommend this book if you are trying to learn more about the Mediterranean Diet lifestyle.
I’m quite disappointed in this book. Not a healthy Mediterranean cookbook. Here are a few recipes- sausage and cheese casserole- 10 eggs, 2 cups breakfast sausage, 2 cups cheddar cheese, hashbrowns. HUH?? Vegetarian mac and cheese with frozen mixed vegetables, elbow macaroni and cheddar cheese. Turkey lasagna with tortillas, ground turkey and cheddar cheese? Ugh. Some good looking bean soup recipes, but then there’s bacon and potato soup with sour cream in it. I’d pass on this one.
I have been interested in instant pot cooking for some time and since I am moving over to Mediterranean based eating, I thought this would be a great place to start both. First off, the book is loaded with typo's and looks like it was thrown together. Second, every dish can be made without an instant pot. The instant pot does not appear to save you hours of time. If something needs to be slow cooked for 8 hours....it's going to take 8 hours in the instant pot. Lastly, throwing all ingredients into a single pot looks like a recipe for over cooking some items, Mediterranean cooking is based more on fresh good tasting not overly cooked or processed food. I will try some recipes without the instant pot. I am still not convinced that one pot will make my life better, cooking simpler, or food tastier.
First it is for instant pot, which is now our preferred way to cook.It is simple in that it explains in detail how to prepare the food and how to use the instant pot for this recipe.The beginning explains the Mediterranean diet benefits.Tells how to use the instant pot in general.Nice variety of Mediterranean recipes.Most of the recipes have basic ingredients.Explains about weight loss and the recipes are created for taking pounds off.There is no need to stand over the kitchen stove, rather put it in the instant pot, turn it on, and the work is done.The only negative is I wish there were pictures, as I am not a creative cook, but the recipes are so easy, that I still like it.There are more perks, but there is only so much room on reviews, and mine are about used up.
I bought this book because I enjoy cooking with my Instant Pot and like less complicated recipes with fewer ingredients. My husband and I often like different foods, so I rarely find many recipes we both like in any cookbook.This book is an exception. I've cooked several meals now. We've both enjoyed every single one. This has enhanced our meals.
What I like most about Mediterranean Diet is that I can still eat delicious foods and maintain healthy weight at the same time. This cookbook contains fantastic recipes composed only with 5 or less ingredients without compromising the tastes and flavors. So excited to try all these dishes with my own instant pot. I've learned lost of tips for a successful Mediterranean diet. I think I can enjoy this diet program.

The book has been very helpful starting a healthier lifestyle. It contains daily recipes for meals and snacks that can be exchanged for other recipes in the book and an exercise section. I have started the plan this week, and I have found the recipes to be filling, and I feel great. Also, each recipe has nutritional information. Thank you for a great book to improve my overall health.
