Let me start out by saying that this book is dark and twisted and scary and should probably have some kind of trigger warning on it. Its definitely not for a younger audience. I started it and almost stopped reading...but then I got sucked in and could not stop. I LOVED it. Riley is pulled into a world of rich, powerful, and incredibly dangerous people. And she is falling for a guy who treats her like crap. Most of the people treat her like crap and she doesnt truly know anyone in the story. I could tell that the main guy had his reasons for being terrible but Riley didnt know why and yet she still fell for him so that's why I think younger girls maybe shouldnt read this, so as not to romanticize potentially bad behavior. However, I fell for the guy as well, and his friends, and I am so so so looking forward to the next book because that cliffhanger was freaking BRUTAL. I did have to imagine the characters as older because a lot of the elements were really adult for a 17 year old in high school. That being said, I really loved this book and definitely recommend it to older readers.

The masks they wear daily are more their survival techniques than their defense and weapons training. The glimpses we get into their true souls are everything. The moments they lose control, reveal their emotions, confusion, regret...priceless.I am desperate for more. In a game of deadly chess, the successors are the pawns but I look forward to the rise of the next king and for the butterfly to take the board as queen.
First let me say this book has triggers - it is a DARK ROMANCE - there is a lot of bullying, sex, and violance - if that is not your cup of tea please do not buy this book! Don't come in expecting flowers and rainbows because you will be dissapointed from the very beginning! Also, this will not be a reverse harem - so, let's just get that cleared up :) AND it ends in one heck of a cliffhanger - so if you don't like those you will want to wait for book two to come out before starting on this gold mine!Now - if you like a book with dark themes and tons of twists and turns then this book is for you! I honestly didn't know what to expect when I first heard about this book but I just knew it was going to be AMAZING as I just freaking love Jaymin Eve and Tate James as stand alone authors, so I knew when they decided to collaborate on a book that it was going to be gold and boy was I right!Riley Jameson's life is literally turned 180 after one horrific wreck. Thrust into a world of dangerous people who are now her new family she has to try and survive the chaos, lies, manipulative games, and of course the hits on her life. She starts her new life indifferent to the schemes, just wanting to survive and get away from it all but soon realizes that in order to survive she has to play the game. In order to play the game she has to make friends with those that she thought were her enemies. In doing so, she realizes not everything was what it seems - there is so much more. Soon everyone will learn you can't break her, she is already broken, but she is like a phoenix - she will rise from the ashes and when she does everything else will burn in her wake.I can't wait for book two!!!
This book... was, wow. For lack of a better word.I started this book at 9:30pm (the perks of being on the west coast) and I put it down at midnight, knowing I needed sleep. But, then my mind kept going over what I had read and I knew I needed to read more. So, I picked the book up again. I put it down again at 2:30am and again, I picked it up and kept reading. I did it one more time at 5am and I thought to myself... Sara, you're almost done, why did you put the book down? So, I picked it up again and I finished reading it around 6am. Then I slept for a couple of hours.#WorthIt#NoRegrets#DanteIsMine#IAmSeriousRiley is a kick*** woman. She's dealt with a lot and she doesn't let it keep her down. These four guys? They're grade A jerks. I honestly wish we could have read this as a RH, buuuuuut, you know what? it was still fabulous.Her mother? Wow, she definitely gets mother of the year award. However, Riley doesn't let that stop her from being true to herself. I honestly can't wait for book two. I wanna know what happens! The book ended on a very high note and I can't wait to see what happens!!I would recommend this as a one click. I mean, I'm so good at one clicking, that I can do it with my eyes closed. Oh, and my husband may take away my amazon credit card. I have a bit of a problem. Don't worry, I'll still buy every book that Tate James and Jaymin Eve write. It's that good.
