I teach a Florida Land Trust Workshop every other month since 2008, and I have been using this manual (and previous editions) as my class textbook. Mark Warda has been instrumental in drafting the language (and subsequent modifications) of the Florida Statutes on Land Trusts (section 689.071), so you couldn't turn to a better authority. He releases a new edition after each major change to the statutes, so it's critical that those using Florida land trusts use the most current version for reference. The previous reviewer mentioned problems with insurance; I have never had those issues... perhaps he should find a better P&C insurance provider!!My one complaint about this 10th edition is that is doesn't come with a CD of forms and docs, like the previous edition.
Unless you plan to be your own lawyer this is all you will need to understand why this is good for estate planning and asset protection.
It's clear, concise, and give you everything and only what you NEED to K ow about Land Trusts in the state of Florida.
This book is great. It takes an otherwise complex legal issue and makes it more manageable. I have to admit I had to go back and reread a couple of parts to understand it all. I plan to use as a desk reference.
