Batman: Year Two is even better now with this 30th Anniversary Edition! The stellar artwork of both Alan Davis and Todd McFarlane pops off the pages with new coloring and Mike W. Barr’s story is still a great read after 30 years! This hardcover book also includes the one-shot sequel Full Circle but said inclusion kept me from giving this five stars. The coloring issue from its original printing in the early ‘90s was copied straight into this book. In many panels, the blue parts of the Batsuit are a shade of green. Otherwise, Barr and Davis knock it out of the park again with their respective duties.One more thing. The Reaper may seem like a copy of Phantasm from Mask Of The Phantasm. Just remember that the Reaper and Year Two came first. Buy this book!
The histories and art are great. Alfredo Alcala finishing Todd MacFarlane is not a perfect match, but it's ok. The problem with the book comes from DC. I don't know how they put such a horrible paper in these "deluxe edition". The "deluxe" comes just from the hardcover... The rest is like a common paperback. Marvel's paperback and hardcovers are far better than DC's, not to mention Marvel's Epic Collection.
