As it is book no. 1 it starts off easy, but very quickly move into tune we know and love: Boil the Cabbage Down, Rubber Dolly, Cripple Creek, Cindy, Wabash Cannonball, Down in the Valley.A split-track CD with piano accompaniment and fiddle for all tunes on separate tracks is great. Fiddle tunes need to be heard. No sheet music will give you the feel of the tune.
Good choic of basic tunes with both traditional notation and a tabulature like notation for beginner fiddlers.
